The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) is to be headed by a Director QEC reporting directly to Principal of College\/institute. He\/she is to be the correspondent with the outside bodies.<\/p>

QEC is responsible for promoting public confidence that the quality and standards of the of degree Programs are enhanced and safeguarded.<\/p>

QEC is responsible for the review of quality standards and the quality of teaching and learning in each subject area.<\/p>

QEC is responsible for the review of academic affiliations with other institutions in terms of effective management of standards and quality of programs.<\/p>

QEC is responsible for defining clear and explicit standards as points of reference to the reviews to be carried out. It should also help the employees to know as to what they could expect from the candidates.<\/p>

QEC is responsible to develop qualifications framework by setting out the attributes and abilities that can be expected from the holder of a qualification, i.e.MBBS,BDS,MDS,MD, Bachelors, Bachelor with Honors, Master\u2019s, M. Phil, and Doctoral etc.<\/p>

QEC is responsible to develop program specifications. These are standard set of information clarifying what knowledge, understanding, skills and other attributes a student should have developed on successfully completing a specific program.<\/p>

QEC is responsible to develop quality assurance processes and methods of evaluation to affirm that the quality of provision and the standard of awards are being maintained and to foster curriculum, subject and staff development, together with research and other scholarly activities.<\/p>

QEC is responsible to ensure that the university\u2019s quality assurance procedures are designed to fit in with the arrangements in place nationally for maintaining and improving the quality of Higher Education.<\/p>

QEC is responsible to develop procedures for the following:<\/p><\/div><\/div>

  1. Approval of new programs<\/li>
  2. Annual monitoring and evaluation including program monitoring, faculty monitoring, and student\u2019s perception.<\/li>
  3. Departmental review<\/li>
  4. Student feedback<\/li>
  5. Employer feedback<\/li>
  6. Quality assurance of Master\u2019s, M. Phil. And PhD degree programs.(if applicable)<\/li>
  7. Subject review<\/li>
  8. Institutional assessment<\/li>
  9. Program specifications<\/li>
  10. Qualification framework<\/li>
  11. ISO 9001:2008 Certification<\/li><\/ol>


    QEC is responsible to identify the processes that make up a complete ISO 9001:2008<\/p>

    QMS by using the process approach. The core processes which are considered by QEC under the project of ISO 9001:2008
    QMS are:<\/p><\/div><\/div>

    1. Quality Management Process<\/li>
    2. Resource Management Process<\/li>
    3. Training and Awareness Process<\/li>
    4. Product Purchasing Process<\/li>
    5. Design and Development Process<\/li>
    6. Service Provision Process<\/li>
    7. Product Management Process<\/li>
    8. Customer Relationship Management Process<\/li>
    9. Internal Quality Management Audit Process<\/li>
    10. Monitoring and Measuring Process<\/li>
    11. Management Review Process<\/li><\/ol>

      The QEC team designated for ISO project makes sure that each process development plan should be organized as:<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

      1. Developing procedure of processes<\/li>
      2. Documentation and record of processes<\/li>
      3. Ways to implement the processes.<\/li>
      4. Maintenance procedure of defined processes<\/li>
      5. Monitoring and Measurement methodology for processes<\/li>
      6. Analysis tools for processes<\/li>
      7. Control procedure of processes<\/li>
      8. Improvement plans for processes<\/li><\/ol>


        QEC department organized ISO 9001 Internal Audit Program at the following levels:<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

        1. ISO 9001 Compliance Audit Program<\/li>
        2. ISO 9001 Policy Audit Program<\/li>
        3. ISO 9001 Procedures Audit Program<\/li>
        4. ISO 9001 Process Audit Program<\/li>
        5. ISO 9001 Records Audit Program<\/li><\/ol><\/div><\/div>
