The United College of Physical Therapy (UCPT) recently hosted an insightful seminar titled “Managing Academic Stress & Burnout”, on 1st Nov,2024 aimed at addressing the challenges faced by students and educators in maintaining their mental and physical well-being. The event featured distinguished speakers who shared their expertise on the subject. Dr. (H) Yogi Wajahat, a renowned yoga expert and advisor to the Karachi City Chapter, highlighted the importance of yoga and mindfulness as effective tools for combating burnout. Dr. Aftab Ahmed Khan, President of the Karachi City Chapter and an experienced public health professional and family physician, discussed the broader public health implications of stress management. Additionally, Dr. Syed Masood, an endocrinologist and advisor to the Karachi City Chapter, shed light on the physiological effects of stress and practical strategies to mitigate its impact.
